CONDITIONS

Before the start of each episode the commanding officer reports on the readiness of the ship and its proper technical condition. If the ship is not ready and the malfunction cannot be removed within 30 min, the ship is not allowed to take part in the episode.

TARGETS

TOWED FLOATING TARGET

Number of targets – 1-2 Length – 25 m Width – 7.1 m Water draft – 1.5 m Displacement – 53.5 t

AIR TARGET

Number of targets corresponds with the number of participants with reserve (up to 10 pieces). Diameter – 32.5 cm Speed of descent – 4.5 m/s Glowing time – 6 min

FLOATING MINE

Number of targets corresponds with the number of participants with reserve (up to 10 pieces). Diameter – 0.6 m

EPISODE 1

Water inflow control on a coastal training complex. Team of 5 persons act in the training compartment to control water inflow and fix holes and breaches with emergency equipment.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Episode performance time (repairing the damages).

EPISODE 2

Contest on usage of rescue equipment. This episode is conducted in the limited water area of the port near the berth. The team consisting of 6 persons puts on APO rescue suits, jump into the water, float 30 m to PSN-10 raft, overturn it, get into the raft and paddle to the finish line.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Episode performance time.

EPISODE 1

Assistance to the ship in distress, personnel search and rescue. Start is non-simultaneous. The ship enters the location area of a small-sized drifting ship "in distress". According to the ship commander decision the crew conducts search and rescue of human manikins afloat, boarding of a rescue group to the ship in distress, and fixing of the towing painter, then rescue group returns on board of the ship. Towing of "ship in distress" is conducted at a speed of no more than 8 knots till the finish.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Episode performance time.

EPISODE 2

Anchoring and buoy mooring. Start is simultaneous. The ships begin to move from the start point to the designated points of the anchor parking where they carry out anchoring and buoy mooring with the set course.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Episode performance time, accuracy of holding the course.

RESULTS

The results are summarized and the winners are defined upon the conclusion of each stage of the Competition. They are put into the rating table and informed to the participants of the Competition. After the third stage of the Competition the results are summarized and the winners are defined. The team which gets the most number of points for the three stages of the Competition becomes winner of the Competition.

AWARDING

Awarding of winners and prize-takers of stages of the Competition is carried out during the awarding ceremony, on the closing day of the Competition. The best team is awarded the cup and medals, those who are on the second and third places are awarded medals.
