This is the Soviet M1939 37mm anti-aircraft gun used by the volunteer troops of air defense during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. The third squad of the 2nd Company under the 11th Battalion of the volunteer troops for air defense shot ten planes of the enemy with this gun and gained the Third-Class Collective Award?of?Merit?twice. The ten red stars on the shield mean the equal number of planes shot by the anti-aircraft gun. It was transferred by the Armament Division of the PLA General Logistics Department to the Military Museum in 1959.
