In mid June, at the 17th International Nephrology Academic Conference held in Berlin, Germany, Professor Li Leishi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of Kidney Research Institute of the Nanjing General Hospital of the PLA was awarded the title of Lifelong Honorary Member by the International Society of Nephrology, so as to commend him for his outstanding contribution to international nephrology research. It was said that Professor Li was the first expert in the field that gained this laurel in China.
