WAU, August 15 (ChinaMil) – Recently, the 12th Chinese peacekeeping medical detachment in Wau of South Sudan successfully installed the new incinerator with the help of the Chinese peacekeeping engineer detachment.

The level-II hospital must have the capability to incinerate medical wastes according to the requirements of the United Nations Mission in Southern Sudan (UNMISS) for establishment of level-II hospital.

The members of the Chinese peacekeeping medical detachment completed such work as lifting, placing, assembling and debugging within a few days to make sure that the capability of the Chinese level-II hospital meets the requirements of the United Nations.

The civil level-1 hospital in the Wau base of the UNMISS and the peacekeeping forces of contributing countries, such as the Kenyan Battalion and the Mongolian infantry company, have turned to the Chinese level-II hospital one after another for incinerating their medical wastes since the hospital was able to incinerate medical wastes in a pollution-free way.
