Chinese naval taskforce goes to western Pacific for training

BEIJING, Jan. 27 (ChinaMil) -- Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy has sent recently a warship formation to the West Pacific Ocean to conduct open-sea training.

The formation of Chinese warships is heading to its destination by way of relevant international waterways. The action is the PLA Navy's regular arrangement in accordance with its annual training plan in 2016, the Information Affairs Bureau of Chinese Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

This is the first time for the PLA Navy to conduct training in West Pacific Ocean in the year of 2016. In 2015, it has organized naval taskforces to carry out open-sea training in the West Pacific Ocean for three times.
