China to attend International Army Games 2016

BEIJING, June 27 (ChinaMil) -- China, Egypt, Kazakstan and Venezuela will match their strength at Masters of Automobile and Tank Hardware competition of the International Army Games 2016, the Russia's news agency Sputnik reported on June 24, 2016, citing the News and Information Management Bureau of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Chinese participating team is set to employ China-made vehicles to compete with foreign vehicle brands such as Ural, Karma and Vaz during the competition.

The Masters of Automobile and Tank Hardware competition is part of Russia's International Army Games 2016, which will last from August 1 to 15, 2016. A total of 23 events will be held on 21 training grounds, and in the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea.

In the Masters of Automobile and Tank Hardware competition, players are required to complete various subjects, including restricted space driving, obstacles overcoming, restricted space semitrailer towage, and water obstacles overcoming.

A team from the 1st Group Army of the former PLA Nanjing Military Area Command, attended the competition on behalf of China and achieved the second place last year. The vehicle was the Beiben 1928A heavy trucks developed by the Beiben Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd of China North Industries Group Corporation.
