Chinese troops participating in Int'l Army Games conduct transnational railroad delivery

MANZHOULI, July 8 (ChinaMil) -- The Chinese troops participating in the International Army Games 2016 began the transnational railroad delivery in the early morning of July 7. The first batch of Chinese officers and soldiers from the Army, Navy and Air Force of the PLA boarded the train from Manzhouli Port to the designated area in Russia on the same day.

The International Army Games 2016 is jointly hosted by Russia and Kazakhstan, and will be held from July 30 to August 13.

The PLA will send 1,066 officers and soldiers, 155 vehicles, one frigate and two JH-7A fighter bombers to the competition, according to the Training Bureau of the Training Management Department of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC).

The Chinese troops will participate in 22 contests, including AviaDarts, Caspian Derby, Tank Biathlon and Suvorov Onslaught. Among them, 17 contests are for the PLA Army, two for the PLA Navy and three for the PLA Air Force.

The Chinese troops participating in the competition will assemble at each competition ground before July 23, according to the Transportation Bureau of the CMC Logistic Support Department.
