Chinese and Canadian divers exchange medals after completing the underwater operation.
HAWAII, the United States, July 26, (ChinaMil)-- The Chinese naval diving squad participated in a joint drill of salvage operations with counterparts from U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand at the diving camp of Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii on July 25, local time. It is the first time for the Chinese naval diving squad to participate in such drills with foreign navies in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2016 Exercise.
During these days, the Chinese naval diving squad has conducted with seven diving squads from US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand joint training of subjects including emergency medical response to diving accidents, underwater exploration, targets search and salvage, diving in polluted waters, etc.
Through these trainings, the Chinese naval diving squad expanded exchanges and cooperation with diving squads of foreign navies, and enhanced its capability of conducting joint international humanitarian relief operations.
