China, Mongolia vow to strengthen military ties

ULAN BATOR, Aug. 10 (ChinaMil) -- Mongolian Minister of Defense Dashdemberel Bat-Erdene and Chief of the General Staff of Mongolian Armed Forces Dulamsuren Davaa respectively met with Admiral Sun Jianguo, the visiting Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff Department of China's Central Military Commission (CMC) in Ulan Bator, capital of Mongolia on August 9.

Bat-Erdene said that since the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership between Mongolia and China, the bilateral cooperation in various fields has been further deepened and the bilateral relations have entered the best period in history.

Bat-Erdene hoped that the two militaries can further strengthen pragmatic exchanges and cooperation.

Davaa said Mongolia is willing to work with China to deepen military cooperation in various fields and push forward the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between both sides.

Sun Jianguo said that China is committed to actively implementing the important consensus reached by leaders of both countries to promote long-term stable development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia.

The Chinese military is willing to work with Mongolian armed forces to continue to strengthen pragmatic cooperation in various fields and push forward the friendly cooperation to a higher level in order to make positive contributions to the development of bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership as well as regional peace and stability, said Sun.
