The snow was falling thick and fast in the stationed area of a frontier regiment of the Heilongjiang Provincial Military Command on January 5. Braving the snow fall, the regiment took its troops to the depth of the Great Xing'an Mountains to carry out survival, searching and reconnaissance training under the severely cold weather conditions.
