Since the inception of the annual training program in 2007, a unit of the Xinjiang Military Area Command has given priority to the dangerous and difficult training subjects. For instance, this unit recently took its officers and men to the Tianshan Mountains, an area with ice-clad mountains and snow-covered valleys, to drill on combat coordination, operational command, logistics support and fighting tactics, through which the overall combat capability of the unit has been boosted.
