Statistics have it that China has a total of 68 million netizens,
ranking No. 2 in the world, of which, those who are under 35 years old
make up 82%. With the dynamic promotion of e-business and electronic
government administration, the process of networking is further
accelerated. This requires national defense education to be attuned to the
development of the times while holding fast to the positions of such
traditional media as broadcasting, TV and newspaper, and branch out
network national defense education by taking such advantages of the
network featuring highly popularized, with more young people among its
visitors, quick information spread and new communication measures, so as
to make national defense deeply rooted among the people through readable,
audible and interactive ways.
In view of the above, in order to strengthen and regularize the
online national defense education content, related department of the state
and the armed forces should adopt effective measures to do well in the
following aspects:
Set up national defense education websites. Upgrade some second-class
national defense education websites to open up their own websites with a
unique style and feature so as to attract more netizens to tune in to
national defense education.
Apply a diversified management mode. In network operation, we should
try to earn support and assistant from government, enterprise and
organizations with high network running level and enchanting contents.
Innovate and enrich education contents and measures through offering
more varieties such as video request, multi-media information, network
military games, distance national defense education courses, and visual
national defense forum to attract more visitors.
Strengthen the guidance and management of the forum. The
administrator of national defense education forum should work out sound
management plans, select good and healthy themes, and invite advanced
models, military experts and heroes in national defense to conduct on-line
discussion on hotspot issues.
Establish and improve corresponding laws and regulations. Related
department should establish a whole set of laws and management regulations
attuning to the virtuous environment of network and embark national
defense education website building on a healthy development road.
