In carrying out the activities of delivering warmth to
veteran soldiers, a military unit takes full advantage of human and
technological resources in its stationed area to run a computer network tutoring
evening school to enable 85% of veteran soldiers to acquire suff
icient knowledge
on computer operation and computer network and more than half of them have now
passed the national computer grading examination. Many veteran soldiers who have
got the Qualification Certificate said gratefully: “what our unit has done for
us has warmed our hearts!” Delivery of warmth to veteran
soldiers has been a fine tradition of our army. Every year, all units would organize
such activities before their veteran soldiers leave the army. For
instances, organizing sightseeing trips for veterans soldiers, giving them physical
check-up before they leave their units or doing them some good turns, etc. This is
of course quite necessary. However along with the changes of the times,
the needs of veteran soldiers have changed as well. Many veteran soldiers give
much thought on whether they have the ability to blaze a new trail and make a
successful career after demobilization. Under such circumstances, helping them
to learn a particular skill is beyond doubt the best way to deliver warmth to
them. Presently, the demobilization work is under way throughout the army, thus
delivery of knowledge and technical skill to veteran soldiers and boosting their
professional capabilities hold the key of doing a successful ideological work
of veteran soldiers.
