This is not only the lofty honor of the pacesetters in loving the army and mastering military expertise, but likewise, all the more so, a great encouragement to all the young officers and men of the army. It will, beyond any doubt, inspire the broad officers and men to plunge with greater ardour into the great undertaking of promoting military changes with Chinese characteristics.

　　In the youth rest the future of our motherland and the hope of our nation. The young officers and men make up the main force of army building. The honor of the servicemen can only be secured in being skillful in military expertise and being capable of winning. Being capable of winning is the utmost honor of the servicemen. The youthful years are the prime of one's life for accomplishing undertakings and the young officers and men form the vital fresh force and the shock brigade for military struggle preparation. For that reason, the young servicemen should work with the senses of mission and urgency as racing against time since the latter waits for no man, study new knowledge diligently, make great endeavor to master the new armaments, delve into new operational methods, and think about, strive for and practice hard for winning. We should go to the grassroots and the frontline conscientiously and to the places where the country and the people require most, work hard persistently for the cause, forge ahead with a pioneering spirit, create a resounding and stirring song of youth, and compose a glorious chapter with indefatigable efforts.

The important mission of the time awaits the young people's effort and the grand objective calls for the young people to make it come true.
