Local war with IT application is a system versus system confrontation, falling into the basic operational pattern of integrated joint operation. The pressing needs for promoting the transition from military training under the condition of mechanization to the military training under the condition of informationalization are to focus on uplifting the capability of our army in fighting integrated joint operations and to delve deeply into the methods of and intensify the joint training involving various services and arms.

　　Joint operation requires joint trainings. Joint training stands for the form of advanced training that will organically integrate the operational capabilities of various services and arms. To step up joint training indicates seizing hold of the linchpin in the whole chain of factors that can improve the combat effectiveness and it will beyond any doubt contribute to upgrading the overall level of military training. So, we should base ourselves on the reality of the troops and energetically intensify joint exercises involving all three services on the basis of doing well in the training of integrating various essential operational factors involving various services and arms so as to enhance the troops' capability in joint operation under the condition of informationalization in real earnest.

　　Joint training must be carried out in tiers. The application of IT has turned the battlefield for joint operation involving various services and arms into a much more complicated one with much fiercer confrontation between the rivalries, thus posing great challenge to the command and coordination. Therefore, joint training must be based on complex and difficult situations and carried out by increasing the difficulty and intensity of each tier's training to facilitate the final integration of the training of various services and arms.
　
　　Joint training must highlight key aspects. Joint training should be reflected in every level of strategy, campaign and tactics with the priority given to the trainings of the first two levels. It is required to further intensify the intensity of training at the two levels, upgrade the training level and ensure training quality. The training of the commanders in charge of joint operations and the commanding organs should be highlighted according to the operation plan and the course of operation.

　　Joint operation under information condition differs greatly from the mechanized war, and for that matter, requires new approach to examine it closely and to set new military training standards for it. We should strengthen the awareness of joint operation, establish joint mechanism and build up joint forces according to the needs to win the war in order to truly realize joint operation, joint organizational system and joint training and to enhance the capability in integrated joint operation in real earnest.
