While making a study tour in the Guangzhou war theater, Xu Caihou, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the CPC and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, highlighted that intensifying the work style building of the leading cadres is a matter of fundamental and overall significance to the cause development of the Party and the army. Leading cadres at all levels should earnestly implement and put into effect Chairman Hu Jintao's important instructions and the spirit of his important speech at the 7th Plenary Session of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC and do a good job in work style building with bigger resolve and efforts so as to gear up and boost the better and faster development of the army building.

　　During the study tour, Xu Caihou came to some troop units of the Guangzhou Military Area Command and the air force troops stationed in Guangdong, where he learned the overall situations of the army building, saw the new recruits under training, conveyed regards to the grassroots officers and men, and inspected the armaments of the troops and the facilities for training and grassroots cultural life. Topping that, Xu Caihou had informal discussions with the leaders and cadres of the leading bodies of the troop units aiming at listening extensively to their opinions and proposals on intensifying the work style building of the leading cadres in particular.
