The 15km individual race of women's biathlon events at the 6th Asian Winter Games was held yesterday in Changchun City, and the PLA athlete Liu Xianying who opened the Chinese gold haul in skiing event at this Asian Winter Games pocketed another gold medal. This means that, till now, the PLA athletes have bagged a total of three gold medals in the biathlon events. The General Staff Headquarters (GSH) of the PLA sent a message to the Chinese Sports Delegation yesterday, congratulating the PLA athletes on the excellent results they have achieved at the biathlon events.

　　The message read: "we are glad to learn that the PLA athletes have won three gold medals in women's 7.5 km sprint, 10 km pursuit and 15 km individual events in biathlon events at the 6th Asian Winter Games, thus they have won the honor for the country and the army. We hereby extend our warm congratulations and cordial greetings to the Chinese Sports Delegation, including the leaders, coaches and athletes of the biathlon events team."
