Guo Boxing, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, stressed recently during an inspection tour of the troops stationed in the Beijing theatre that the leading cadres at all levels should earnestly study and implement the related important instructions of Chairman Hu Jintao and the spirit of his important speech at the 7th Plenary Session of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, persevere in taking the scientific outlook on development as guide, make intensified efforts to build up a fine style of work so as to push for better and faster development of the army building and greet the convening of the 17th CPC National Congress with brilliant achievements.

　　During his tour, Guo Boxiong visited the ground force units, air force units, military educational institutions and the armed police units in Hebei Province and Tianjin Municipality. He checked the implementation of the new year's working plan of these troops, went to the training grounds and grassroots companies to visit officers and men and extended the Spring Festival greetings to them on behalf of Chairman Hu Jintao and the Central Military Commission.

　　Guo Boxiong pointed out that to build up a fine style of work should be taken as an important standard for evaluating and selecting cadres in the future. He also called on all PLA troops to persist in conducting military training in light of needs of actual combat, set high and strict demands upon their military training and do it in a down-to-earth way, and make great efforts to boost actual combat capability of the troops.
