Teachers' "Taijiquan Phalanx", a spectacular scene in campus

A captive skit performed by the amateur art troupe

For the past few years, the Party committee of the Logistics Engineering Institute has made great efforts to create a cultural phalanx in the institute with special features of the military educational institutions. For instance, several armature art troupes have been formed and basketball, table tennis, football and badminton clubs have been set up in the institute. What is more significant is that the institute makes a point to organizing gala evenings on the occasion of major festivals and a bonanza of cultural events on weekends. In addition, the institute is also very active in sponsoring humanistic art lectures on appreciation of classic works and music, writing of poems and prose, critics of films and TV drama, directing of chorus, fine arts and photography, etc. So far it has held, on average, over 80 such lectures every year.
