The appraisal of military college teaching work in 2006 wrapped up recently, and the Nanjing Army Command College, the Armored Engineering Institute and the First Flying Academy of the PLA Air Force won the title of the Excellent Teaching Unit.

　　The general headquarters/departments of the PLA began to try out the appraisal of military college teaching work in 1998. By the end of 2005, it has completed the teaching work appraisal for 13 military colleges. In order to further implement the spirit of Chairman Hu Jintao's important instruction on keeping a vigorous grip on military training, and accelerate the transition of military college education toward the education under informationization conditions, the appraisal of military college teaching work was carried out on a wide scale in 2006, and 8 military colleges had been inspected and evaluated in an all-round way by the experts organized by the General Staff Headquarters of the PL A.
