Naval base boosts support efficiency through IT application

english.chinamil.com.cn 2007-02-09

The ordnance division of a support base under the South China Sea Fleet of the PLA Navy launched the electronic version of the "Manual for Torpedo and Missile Troubleshooting" yesterday by uploading it onto the LANs of six naval units including a support group, an ordnance depot and equipment monitoring station. The manual contains over 400 troubleshooting cases collected by the ordnance division in the past few years.

Through its efforts in the past few years, the ordnance division has successfully put out the "Manual for Torpedo and Missile Troubleshooting", which has described torpedo and missile troubleshooting in a systematic and comprehensive way. Thus the officers and men can swiftly get the knack of removing the trouble in case of any torpedo or missile trouble by consulting the manual.
