A medical support exercise staged by a unit of the Second Artillery Force
under informationization battlefield conditions was in full swing in the very
middle of the bitterly cold winter in a mountainous area of northern China.
In a digitalized medical shelter, the reporters heard that messages asking
for help came in from the front constantly: a radar position was air raided by
the "enemy" and a great number of wounded soldiers were waiting for emergency
medical treatment….
"Activate the wartime emergency treatment plan!", the command center gave
the order immediately upon the arrival at the designated area. In no time, three
large shelters bearing "Red Cross" strung out in a line. The reporters saw in
the medical shelter that the 20 sq. m space is partitioned into small rooms of
various functions. In the operation room stands a multi-functional operation
table on which various operations could be performed. The washing and
sterilization room could do high-temperature sterilization to surgical equipment
and clothes. The closed system also has such equipment as automatic water supply
and central oxygen supply. The satellite navigation system mounted on the
vehicle could receive the messages for help from the wounded soldiers in the
front, and then carry out search quickly and identify the position of the
wounded.
