Liao Xilong urges to deepen joint logistics reform at a new starting point

  When addressing a teleconference held yesterday to sum up the experimental work in the joint logistics reform carried out in the Jinan war theater, Liao Xilong, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, underlined that all the departments at various levels should firmly implement the decisions and arrangements made by Chairman Hu Jintao and the Central Military Commission, focus on effectively fulfilling the historical mission of the army in the new century and the new period, boost the in-depth development of the joint logistics reform, and see to it that the determination and intention of Chairman Hu and the Central Military Commission are to be materialized.

  Liao Xilong highlighted that joint efforts should be made by the logistics departments at various levels to make sure that all the commanders and fighters should be able to enjoy fully the reform achievements and enable grassroots troop units to truly see and feel the advantages of the joint logistics in a bid to bring about a favorable situation featuring true support for the reform, spontaneous involvement in the reform and offering active backup to the reform by everybody.
