The General Staff Headquarters of the PLA had a Spring Festival gathering
in Beijing yesterday to exchange greetings. More than 800 people including
leaders of the General Staff Headquarters of the PLA headed by Liang Guanglie,
member of the Central Military Commission and chief of general staff of the PLA,
veteran cadres living in Beijing and some representatives of the servicemen from
the General Staff Headquarters of the PLA happily gathered together to exchange
greetings on the eve of the Spring Festival.
A Spring Festival tea party for the veteran cadres of the General Political
Department of the PLA was held in the PLA Veteran Cadres Club on the afternoon
of Feb. 8. Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of
the General Political Department of the PLA attended the tea party.
On the afternoon of Feb.14, Liao Xilong, member of the Central Military
Commission and director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA got
together with the representatives of the servicemen from the leading bodies of
the General Logistics Department of the PLA and troop units stationed in Beijing
as well as some veteran leaders and experts to celebrate the joyous Spring
Festival of 2007.
On the morning of Feb. 9, a Spring Festival tea party was given by the
General Armaments Department of the PLA for the veteran cadres living in
Beijing. At the party, Chen Bingde, member of the Central Military Commission
and director of the General Armaments Department of the PLA, exchanged Spring
Festival greetings with over 160 veteran cadres. Chi Wanchun, political
commissar of the General Armaments Department of the PLA, delivered a speech at
the party.
