english.chinamil.com.cn 2007-02-16

With the concern and support of the Central Military Commission and the leading bodies of the general headquarters/departments of the PLA, all the 1382 newly built, expended and renovated study rooms for the grassroots units of the PLA Navy have been completed at the time when the Spring Festival is drawing near.

Complying with the instructions given by the leaders of the Central Military Commission during the inspection tour to the ship units, the PLA Navy started to plan the building of study rooms for the ship units since the first half of 2005 with the special fund appropriated by the General Logistics Department of the PLA. The study rooms fall into big, medium and small ones with their floorages ranging from 220m2 to 550m2, boasting the capacities of seating from 100 to 250 people for class respectively. Besides the main classroom, each study room is also completed with such affiliated facilities as room for preparing lessons, network room and reference room.
