BEIJING, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing on Friday spoke by telephone with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki about the nuclear issue of Iran.

　　Li reiterated China's principled stance to peacefully resolve nuclear issue of Iran through diplomatic efforts.

　　The two also exchanged ideas on international issues of mutual concern.

　　An IAEA report released on Thursday said that Iran had refused to suspend uranium enrichment activities by Feb. 21 as demanded by the U.N. Security Council.
