At the panel discussion of the PLA delegation attending the 5th Session of the 10th National People's Congress, Liao Xilong, military deputy to the NPC, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, said that the government work report delivered by Premier Wen Jiabaosticks to the basic guiding principle of the scientific outlook on development, adheres to the basic tenet of serving the people wholeheartedly, upholds the fine style of work featuring proceeding from the actual situation and being truth-seeking and pragmatic, persists in the spirit of keeping pace with the times and being innovative and ready to blaze new trails, and perseveres in the basic requirements of strengthening national defense and army building, hence it is a scientific and truth-seeking report and a serious and responsible report. He emphasized that the military logistics should endeavor to make contributions for realizing the objectives and tasks put forward in the government work report, stick to the guidance of the scientific outlook on development, hold fast to the correct direction of military logistics building, and promote energetically a better and faster development of the building of military logistics.
