Xu Caihou visits female delegates from military to CPC and CPPCC sessions

  On the occasion of the International Working Women's Day, Xu Caihou, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the CPC and Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), visited on March 8, on behalf of CMC Chairman Hu Jintao and the Central Military Commission, the military female deputies to the 5th Session of the 10th National People's Congress and the military female members to the 5th Session of the National Committee of the 10th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and offered festive congratulations and extended cordial greetings to them and, through them, to all the military women.

  Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the PLA, was in the company of Xu Caihou during the visit.

  Xu Caihou highlighted that all levels should be fully aware of the significance of the work concerning women, attach importance to it, show true care for all the servicewomen, keep on devoting more efforts to the training and employment of female cadres and servicewomen, create conditions for them to render meritorious service and make a distinguished military career, and help them to develop in an all-round way, so as to make more contributions to the drive of modernizing the army and the preparation for military struggles.
