ULAN BATOR, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian president Nambaryn Enkhbayar met
here Sunday with Liang Guanglie, member of China's Central Military Commission
and chief of the general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, to
discuss relations between their two countries and two armed forces.
At the meeting, Enkhbayar said Mongolia attaches importance to boosting
long-term, stable, good-neighborly and mutually beneficial relations between
Mongolia and China.
High-level visits have become regular and the development of bilateral
cooperation in various fields has continued over recent years, said the
president.
Bilateral cooperation in military fields were boosted fast, Enkhbayar said,
adding that "I believe the current visit by Liang Guanglie will contribute to
boosting friendly cooperation in military fields between the two countries."
Speaking on the same occasion, Liang said that over the past more than half
a century, bilateral relations have developed continually and the two countries
have developed cooperation in many fields.
China wishes to make efforts to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation,
and the two countries will forever be good neighbors,good friends and good
partners, Liang said.
Earlier Sunday, Liang held talks with his Mongolian counterpart Ts. Togoo,
on bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common concern.
Liang arrived here on Saturday for a three-day visit to Mongolia.
