Ge Zhenfeng, deputy chief of general staff of the PLA, held talks with Ljiljana Sterijovska, the visiting Macedonian state secretary in the Ministry of National Defense yesterday in Beijing.

　　Ge Zhenfeng said that in recent years, the relations between China and Macedonia have developed smoothly, and exchanges between the two sides in many fields have witnessed steady development. The Chinese side held that to maintain and develop friendly cooperative relations between China and Macedonia are in the fundamental interests of the two countries and the two peoples. The exchanges between the two countries in the military field, though limited in quantity, have maintained high quality and unhampered communication, and the field of cooperation is also steadily expanding. He expressed his belief that, through the joint efforts of the two sides, the Sino-Macedonian military relations will surely be pushed forward steadily.

　　Sterijovfka noted that Macedonia and China are good friends and their friendly relationship has been established on the basis of mutual respect and political mutual trust. She reiterated that Macedonia would stick to the one-China policy and that Taiwan is an inalienable part of the Chinese territory.

　　本报北京7月11日电　记者张顺报道：副总参谋长葛振峰今天在八一大楼与来华访问的马其顿国防部国务秘书利·斯特里约夫斯卡举行了会谈。

　　葛振峰说，近年来，中马两国关系发展顺利，双方在许多领域的交往稳步发展。中方认为保持和发展中马友好合作关系符合两国和两国人民的根本利益。中马两国在军事领域的交往虽然数量不多，但保持了交往的质量和交流渠道的畅通，合作领域也在不断拓宽，相信在双方的共同努力下，中马两军关系一定会不断向前发展。

　　斯特里约夫斯卡说，马中两国是好朋友，两国友好关系是建立在相互尊重、政治互信基础上的。她重申，马其顿坚定支持一个中国政策，台湾是中国不可分割的一部分。
