The selective check of integrated training activities for the national defense traffic professional support contingents wrapped up on July 13 in Beijing, Liao Xilong, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, attended the activities, during which he stressed that the national defense traffic professional support contingents, as an important part of national defense reserve force, are a backbone force for carrying out traffic and communication support tasks during the wartime, thus we must intensify the building of national defense traffic professional support contingents in an all-round way so as to ensure that they would be able to assemble at the first call and provide adequate support to troops in winning battles.

　　The selective check of integrated training activities for the national defense traffic professional support contingents was held in Beijing and Shanxi Province simultaneously. The activities have demonstrated in a systematic way the contents, procedures and methods of the selective check of integrated training with focus on the following training subjects: erection of steel highway bridge for combat readiness, transshipment of heavy equipment, using expressway to replace runway in emergency, emergency assembly of civil transport resources and emergency mobile communication suport, etc.
