The exercise for testing the motorized mobile transportation support ability of the troops in organic units with the entire staff and all the equipment, which is organized by the General Staff Headquarters and the General Logistics Department of the PLA, started to unfold in the Guangzhou war theatre yesterday. When watching the exercise, Liao Xilong, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, underlined that we should unify our thinking and action unswervingly with the spirit of a series of recent important remarks of Chairman Hu Jintao and promote the effective implementation of various missions of military struggle preparation with vigorous combat spirit and strenuous fighting style.

　　Liao Xilong pointed out that we must place top priority on raising the combat ability under complex electromagnetic environment, temper the troops through exercises staged in an environment resembling the real war so as to test all-roundly the military transportation support ability and logistic comprehensive support ability.

　　Liao Xilong stressed on further enhancing cadres' command skill, organization level and emergency-handling ability, restricting troops with strict disciplines and turning the safety requirements into specific executable standards and procedures.

　　Wang Qian, deputy director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, Commander Zhang Qinsheng and Political Commissar Yang Deqing of the Guangzhou Military Area Command, and representatives from various military area commands and services and arms watched the exercise.
