Guo Boxiong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, Cao Gangchuan, member of the Political Bureau of the CCCPC, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, state councilor and minister of national defense, Xu Caihou, member of the Secretariat of the CCCPC and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, Liang Guanglie, Li Jinai, Liao Xilong, Chen Bingde, Qiao Qingchen and Jing Zhiyuan, members of the Central Military Commission, respectively participated in the panel discussions of the PLA delegation yesterday afternoon. When discussing the report to the 17th CPC National Congress, the PLA delegates unanimously agreed that the report made by Comrade Hu Jintao features distinct in theme, broad and profound in nature, substantial in content and deep-going in ideology, which has scientifically and in a seeking-truth-from-facts approach summed up China's great achievements in construction and development since the 16th CPC National Congress, reviewed the historical progress and experience of the reform and opening up, made arrangements for the future objectives and tasks, and called on the entire Party and people of all nationalities of China to hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics and strive for new successes in the all-round construction of a moderately prosperous society. The report to the 17th National Congress represents fully the will of the entire Party and embodies the aspiration of the people, hence a brilliant Marxist literature and a programmatic document of the Party in leading the people of the whole country to create a new situation of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is encouraging and inspires the Chinese people to forge ahead bravely.
