Yesterday, the PLA senior cadres symposium on studying, publicizing and implementing the essence of 17th CPC National Congress invited Li Junru, vice president of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, to give a tutorial lecture entitled "Historical Status and Important Contributions of the 17th CPC National Congress".

　　Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the PLA, attended the lecture together with the students of the symposium.

　　The symposium includes six tutorial lectures. Li Junru said in his lecture that the 17th CPC National Congress is a very important conference held at the crucial stage of China's reform and development. Earnest study, publicity and implementation of the essence of the 17th CPC National Congress concerns the overall work of the Party and the state as well as the long-term development of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics, and it is of great practical importance and far-reaching historical significance towards mobilizing the whole Party and the people of all ethnic groups in the country to hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics and create a new situation in the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Hu Jintao as general secretary.
