Radar men show way for helicopters in search operation

english.chinamil.com.cn 2008-06-06

A mobile radar detachment of the air force under the Chengdu Military Area Command undertakes the job of feeding the aircraft involved in searching the ill-fated helicopter and monitoring the development of the Tangjiashan quake lake from the air with the information on air situation, which makes due contribution to ensuring the smooth search and monitoring. Some officers and men of the detachment are shown in the photo taken on June 4 directing the Black Hawk helicopter flying over a mountain-and-valley area to do search and rescue work.
