SANAA, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping concluded his five-nation Asia tour here Wednesday evening and left Sanaa for home.

Xi arrived in Sanaa on Tuesday afternoon for a two-day official visit to Yemen. During the visit, Xi met with President Ali Abdullah Saleh and held talks with Vice President Abdal-Rab Mansural-Hadii.

Xi also delivered a speech at a China-Yemen investment seminar, which was attended by Prime Minister Ali Muhammad al-Mujawar and officials and businessmen from both countries.

During the visit, China and Yemen signed a number of agreements on cooperation in such areas as economy, technology, education and public health.

Yemen was the final leg of Xi's five-nation Asia tour, which had also taken him to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. This was the first overseas trip Xi has made since assuming office as vice president.

Xi was seen off by Yemen's Vice President Abdal-Rab Mansur al-Hadii at the airport when leaving Sanaa.
