Chang Wanquan urges to boost weapons and equipment construction

  Chang Wanquan, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Armaments Department of the PLA, stressed at the intensive training course on deepening the development of the organic and systematic combat and support capabilities of the general equipment on April 8 that all troop units of the PLA should deepen the construction of the organic and systematic combat and support capabilities of the weapons and equipment, constantly enhance the equipment support capability in coping with multiple of security threats and accomplishing diversified military tasks, in a bid to boost a faster and better development of the construction of weapons and equipment.

  Chang Wanquan pointed out that, in line with the unified arrangement of the Central Military Commission and the general headquarters/departments of the PLA, all troop units of the PLA have obtained fruitful achievements in the construction of the organic and systematic combat and support capabilities of the weapons and equipment, which has greatly boosted various constructions of the troop units and promoted the preparation for military struggle.

  Han Yanlin, deputy director of the General Armaments Department (GAD) of the PLA, Fan Changlong and Liu Dongdong, commander and political commissar respectively of the Jinan Military Area Command, leaders who are responsible for armaments work of all military area commands, services and arms, and directors of the armaments departments of the units above army corps level participated in the intensive training.
