Two warplanes in emergent afterburner takeoff
One day in early July, a fierce live shell fire in the air was to start
above a sea area of the South China Sea. At 10:30, the two warplanes piloted by
the pilots of a naval aviation troop unit under the South China Sea Fleet of the
PLA Navy attacked the target in waves. This is a scene of live fire training
against air target organized by the troop unit after suspension of this kind of
training for years. Up to the present, all the pilots of the troop unit have
practiced air target shooting.
To ensure the attack quality and realize accurate firing, the troop unit
organized its pilots to receive simulated training on firing time and firing
opportunity on the ground or in the air for many times. During the process of
flight organization and implementation, despite the occurrence of such safety
issues as target rope broken, the implementation of the live shell fire training
was ensured, for the good organization, good preparation and proper handling by
the pilots.
