Exhibition to Mark Deng Xiaoping's 100th Birthday to be held

   An exhibition to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping is scheduled to open in Beijing on Tuesday.

  The exhibition will showcase four historical periods that Deng Xiaoping was involved in, namely the founding of the People's Republic of China, the development of the socialism system, the building of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the construction of a well-off society in an all-round way.

  Many precious historical pictures, culture relics and files will be on display at the exhibition in the National Museum.

  Deng Xiaoping is known as chief architect of China's reform and open policies.
