An exhibition to commemorate the
100th anniversary of the birth of late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping is
open to public in Beijing from Tuesday in the National
Museum.
The exhibition shows four historical
periods that Deng Xiaoping was involved in, from the founding of the
People's Republic of China to the construction of a well-off society in an
all-round way.
Over 300 historical pictures, 100
items and 50 documents will be on display. Many are on show for the first
time.
Deng Xiaoping is respected as the
chief architect of China's reform and open policies, which has
dramatically improved the life in China for the past two decades.
Cultural events to celebrate his
centenary birth anniversary are hot around the country, including TV
plays, films, concerts, and various exhibitions.
