Activities to commemorate late
Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping are being held across China.
A series of
forums were held in Beijing to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of
late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping.
At the forum, some members from the
Committee of Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China say Deng
Xiaoping's theory about peaceful reunification and one country, two
systems" are practical and provide a basic direction for reunification.
Meanwhile, China Literature and
History Institute is holding a calligraphy and painting exhibition to
commemorate Deng Xiaoping.
