BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Jiang Zemin, chairman of China's State Central Military Commission (CMC), has requested for resignation from his remaining post as chairman of the commission, according to a letter read at a presidium meeting of the National People's Congress, China's parliament, here Friday.
