CPC Central Committee confers with non-Communist parties onpersonnel adjustments

  BEIJING, March 12 (Xinhuanet) -- A senior CPC official presided over two meetings to solicit opinion about the personnel adjustment of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top advisorybody.

  Entrusted by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Jia Qinglin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the democratic consultation meetings with leaders from non-Communist parties, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and dignitaries without party affiliation on Feb. 17 and 25, respectively.

  Jia said it is a good tradition of CPC to hold such democratic consultation meetings for the candidates recommendation in state organs and CPPCC national committee and such meetings best reflectthe system of multi-party cooperation and consultation under the leadership of the CPC.

  In a democratic and harmonious atmosphere, leaders and representatives from the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, the China Democratic League, the China Democratic National Construction Association, the China Association of Promoting Democracy, the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, the China Zhi Gong Party, Jiu San Society, Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and a dignitary without party affiliation spoke on the conferences and expressed their support to CPC's recommendation.
