Forge stronger ties among Chinese on both sides of Taiwan Strait via cultural exchanges

At the
third full meeting of the PLA delegation, NPC deputy Li Guangqi suggested
forging stronger ties among Chinese on both sides of the Taiwan Straight via
cultural exchanges. On the occasion of the traditional festivals of the Chinese
nation such as the Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival and the Mid-Autumn
Festival, the people of both sides can jointly hold large-scale theatrical
programs with interactive stages or by inviting actors/actresses from each other
to celebrate the traditional festivals. Efforts should be made to improve the
environment for the Taiwan compatriots to invest, to do business, to sightsee
and to study in the mainland so as to enable them to have a feeling of being at
home.
