On the occasion of celebrating the 600th anniversary of Zheng He's voyages to the west, an upsurge of publication is sweeping China. After the publication of the Selecedt Works on Studies of Zheng He in the Past 100 Years by the Peking University Publishing House last year, the Tongxin Publishing House and the Huashan Literature and Art Publishing House respectively published the An Encounter with Zheng He on the Sea and 1405: In Memory of the 600th Anniversary of Zheng He's Voyages to the West in January this year.

　　CCTV will release a full-length documentary film 1405: In Memory of the 600th Anniversary of Zheng He's Voyages to the West in this July to mark the 600th anniversary of Zheng He's voyages. This is one of the six major activities initiated by the state to commemorate Zheng He's voyages.

　　According to the authoritative persons, the Ocean Publishing House will publish the Authoritative Survey of the Ocean Shores-A Transcript of the Ming Dynasty (with annotations) and three million words of Collection of Materials on Zheng He's Voyages to the West in succession. The Popular Science Publishing House will publish the Voyage to West, A Full Coverage of Ancient Ships, Dreams Vanished Overseas and Revisiting the Ancient Sites.
