Russian defense minister starts China visit

　　BEIJING, Dec. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov arrived here Sunday night for a four-day visit to China.

　　During his stay in Beijing, Ivanov will meet with Chinese leaders, especially top military officers. Besides Beijing, he is also schedu led to visit Sanya, a seaside resort on the southern tip of Hainan Province, south China.

　　Ivanov is here as guest of Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan, who is also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission and state councilor.
