BEIJING, Oct. 18 -- Following their five days in space, the two Chinese
astronauts have been admitted to an isolation ward. They'll stay there for up to
two weeks, for comprehensive medical check-ups.
Authorities say the isolation will protect them from contracting infectious
diseases, while allowing them to readjust to the Earth's gravity and regain
fitness.
The re-entry capsule of the Shenzhou 6 spacecraft is now on its way from
Inner Mongolia to Beijing. It's expected to arrive in the national capital on
Tuesday afternoon, after 18 hours on a train.
