On the Jinggangshan Mountain
( part of oil painting)
On October 27, 1927, Mao Zedong led the 1st Regiment of the
1st Division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army
with more than 1000 soldiers arrived at a place called Ciping in the
Jinggangshan Mountain, unveiling the struggle of establishing the Jinggangshan
Revolutionary Base Area. Till February 1928, the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base
Area basically took the shape, which meant the Chinese revolution thus embarked
on the correct road of encircling the cities from the rural areas and seizing
political power by armed forces.
