Indian troops leave China after joint anti-terrorism training


  KUNMING, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- About 100 Indian ground force of troops left China on Thursday after taking part in the first jointanti-terrorism military training with the People's Liberation Army(PLA).

  The Indian troops arrived on Dec. 19 in Kunming, capital of southwestern China's Yunnan Province, for the joint training, code-named "Hand-in-Hand-2007."

  The PLA also sent about 100 soldiers to attend the training.

  The training will play an active role in enhancing mutual understanding and trust and deepening exchanges and cooperation in the defense field, and it is not aimed at any third party, a spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Office of China's Defense Ministry said in Beijing on Tuesday.
