"Cooperation 2007" wraps up successfully


  Real troops confrontation is a fight in resourcefulness and valor, and he who has the "sharper sword" will triumph in the intensive fighting in the battlefield. The China-Russia joint anti-terror exercise coded "Cooperation 2007" was rounded off in the outskirts of Moscow on September 6. Wu Shuangzhan, commander of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force, and Nikolay Rogozhkin, commander-in-chief of the Domestic Security Force of the Russian Interior Ministry, watched the actual-troop exercise on September 6 and attended the following closing ceremony.

  The exercise on September 6 was conducted in the training center of the Independent Operation Division of the Domestic Security Force of the Interior Ministry of Russia involving 1,000-odd officers and men from the "Snow Leopard Commando" of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force and the "Warriors" special task force of Russia. During which, they launched a surprise assault on the "sanatorium" occupied by the "terrorists" and successfully rescued the kidnapped "hostages".

  When the exercise came to an end, the commanders of both sides awarded medals to 30 officers and men who made an outstanding showing during the exercise involving actual troops and posed with all the participating troops for a photo. Following the closing ceremony, Wu Shuangzhan and Nikolay Rogozhkin met the press together and they shared the view that the join anti-terror exercise was a complete success and would be of great significance for uplifting the capabilities of the domestic security forces of both countries in dealing with the new threats and new challenges, in carrying out joint anti-terror operations, and in safeguarding the regional peace, stability and development.
